Beginning ASL Class
 
Want to learn sign language?  Would you like to have an understanding of Deaf Culture?  Do you like to learn in a fun & relaxed environment?  Here's a class for you!
 
Open to anyone who wants to learn Beginning ASL
Course is 8 weeks long
Cost:  $50.00 -- no textbook required

Daisy is a certified interpreter, involved in the Deaf community, and brings a lifelong experience of Deaf culture since she has Deaf parents.

Around The Town With American Sign Language

American Sign Language (ASL) is a language you can use in your own community.  Whether you are a complete novice or you have studied sign language before, this course is for you!  Content will focus on everyday conversation used in the community - at the grocery store, in a restaurant, at the mall, and many other places.  Deaf adults from our community will be special guest presenters.  Open to high school students and adults.
 
About the instructor:  Laura Scheele has been a teacher for deaf and hard-of-hearing students for more than 15 years.  She is a part-time community interpreter.

All classes below are held in the lower level -- enter through the EAST doors.  Coffee and lemonade will be provided, and free-will offerings will be received.  Books are available (optional) for $35.00, and are used for ASL Levels 1, 2, and 3.
