DIANA LEI wrote: Baby Slings/Maya wraps made for you!
For anyone that would like a Baby Sling made and want a specific pattern or color, I will do all of the sewing and
provide the rings. You simply purchase the fabric and deliver it to me. The fabric should be cotton (or a cotton/polyester blend). A cotton weave works well too. The fabric needs to be able
to breathe or the baby will be too hot. It should be durable and at least a little
(but not too) elastic. The length of the fabric should be 2.0 yards for a small
wrap up to 2.5 yards for a larger wrap. If you are tall or large, 2 and 1/2 yards
is a good idea. NOTE: The fabric
should be at least 36” wide to 45” wide. Wider than 45” will
require trimming. Also, both sides of the fabric will show when you use your
sling so you may want to choose a fabric that does not have a “wrong” side.
COST:
For normal assembly and rings the
cost will be $20. I do have a few pre-made slings if you like to look at them,
or buy one pre-made for $35. If you have questions or are interested , please
contact me: diana_lei@hotmail.com You

bit of everything -- antique clocks, cast-iron cars, collector Barbie dolls, Avon, and more. We add to it every week.
Our booth hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come see us!"

OWN A PIECE OF FORT WAYNE HISTORY!
To many Fort Wayne residents, the Christmas season does not officially start until Santa
and four of his reindeer are flying downtown on the side of the National City Bank building. The lights have been a
treasured part of the holidays ever since they first appeared in 1940, at the Wolf & Dessauer department store.
Although the lights are almost 70 years old, they have been on display for 45 Christmas
seasons. The Wolf & Dessauer department store displayed the lights in 1940 and 1941, and then from 1945 to 1958.
Why the gap? The store was forced to keep the display down for 3 years due to World War II blackouts. In 1959,
the store moved to a new location and the lights were lost. In 1979, the lights were found in a warehouse. Fort
Wayne National Bank, which would become National City Bank, paid to have them restored to their former glory.
Last year, the light bulbs making up the display were replaced by LEDs, as they last
longer and use less than half the electricity. Fortunately the bulbs were saved.
The bulbs will be turned into Christmas tree ornaments and will be available for $8.00
each at Anne's Hallmark stores, Riegel's Pipe & Tobacco stores, and National City Bank branches in Fort Wayne. Purchasing
the bulbs helps support Easter Seals ARC and the people with disabilities they serve.

NEW DESIGNS RECENTLY ADDED!! CHECK OUT WEBSITE!
Silent Connection was originally opened in 1995 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Silent
Connection carried merchandise for hearing-impaired people such as alarm clocks and baby cry, TTY, and a wide range of books
in sign or for sign language. Silent Connection also carried a large variety of t-shirts. Alphabet, friends, and
love t-shirts were the big ones back then. Due to losing our lease, Silent Connection closed after almost two years.
Now, eleven years later, we are opening again. This time we are on the web where
we couldn't lose our lease. This time we are starting with t-shirts and sweatshirts and hats. This way you can shop
from the convenience of your home.
The objective of our business is to provide a high quality product at an affordable
price. We hope you will enjoy visiting our website and using our products as much as we enjoy providing them for you.
Silent Connection is important because it relates to and includes the deaf community.
Our products are a way to communicate and bring together people who hear as well as those who are hearing-impaired.
This bridge sometimes forms friendships that may not otherwise happen. Sometimes just seeing a handsign on a shirt is
enough to open a conversation.
One of our owners is deaf. He lost his hearing later in life at age 42.
Now 15 years later he has built many bridges of friendship with both hearing and hearing-impaired people. Please visit
us and let us know what you think of our website. We use Paypal on our website. We will mail right to your front
door anywhere in the United States. If you want to buy with a check or money order, we have a mail-in form on our web
that you can print off and mail to us. We ship within 2 weeks after the check clears.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at the above number.
