Exciting things have been happening at DeafLink…and we’d like to keep you all updated. Here’s the latest:
Our staff is growing!! Seeing as Jill Lehman will soon be changing from full to part-time (due to her new baby!) we saw the need to hire another full-time Staff Interpreter. On July 13, Lindsey Grogg was hired as our new full-time Interpreter. You may remember her from when she did her internship here at the League in the spring of 2008. She graduated from Bethel that spring, and has been working as an
interpreter (in the community, and with Sorenson) since then. She is currently preparing for the NIC Certification test. We are very excited to have her on board!
We also have a new Interpreter Scheduler - Hilary Myers. Hilary graduated from Goshen College in the spring, and is also currently preparing for the NIC test. An Iowa native, Hilary did her Interpreting internship in Minneapolis, Minnesota but is excited to now call Fort Wayne her home. She is also eager to begin marketing for DeafLink and thus build a better relationship with the Fort Wayne community
businesses and organizations.
So with 2 new staff, as well as Garth, JJ and Jill still around- we are thrilled to see what happens next here at DeafLink. Stay tuned for more updates from us!
